Residence Authorization
Residence authorization is what allows a foreigner to live and work in Brazil legally, for a fixed or indefinite period, depending on the legal basis of the request. It is what leads to the National Migration Registry Card (RNM) — and it is also the path for those who already have an RNM and need to renew it before it expires.
Who it’s for
For those who don't yet have any authorization in Brazil and need to regularize their status — through work, investment, a family tie to a Brazilian or a foreign resident, a Mercosur or CPLP agreement, or another basis set out in the Migration Law. We also help those who already have authorization and an RNM, but whose deadline is approaching or has passed.
How the process works

Gathering documents
We organize your passport, proof specific to the chosen basis (contract, investment, family tie), and any other forms.

Filing the request
We file the request with the relevant authority (Ministry of Justice or, in some cases, directly with the Federal Police).

Follow-up
We track deadlines and respond to requirements until a decision is reached.

Issuing the RNM
Once authorization is granted, we schedule and accompany the biometric registration at the Federal Police for the card to be issued.
